Middle School Coaching Staff

Head Coach
Chris Wallace
Coach Chris Wallace takes over as the new girls head coach for the combined Orange Middle/ Berkshire Middle team. Wallace has been a high school boys assistant and middle school boys head coach over the last six seasons.
Wallace wrestled at Orange Middle School and Orange High School, captaining the team his junior and senior seasons. As a senior, he qualified for districts at 160 lbs to finish his competitive career. Wallace is Orange and Blue, throughout.
Wallace served eight years with the US Air Force and is employed with the Defense Logistics Agency as a Quality Assurance Specialist. In addition to wrestling, he enjoys training in jiu jitsu at Ronin.

Assistant Coach
Lexi Simmons
Coach Simmons enters her fourth season with the Trailblazers as a middle school girls assistant. She has also worked with youth wrestlers at camps. In her competitive career, Simmons captained the OOHS Pioneer squad for two seasons and was a 3x state qualifier. At the time, she was only the second Orange girl to place twice in the state tournament, finishing 6th in 2020 and 5th in 2022. During her senior season, her team won the state dual title and finished 3rd in the state championship. Coach Simmons is studying to be a middle school teacher and is also a licensed nail tech.

Assistant Coach
Jolie Carroll
Coach Carroll enters her sixth year on the middle school staff, first with Olentangy Fire club, then as a Trailblazer assistant. As an senior athlete, she was a state-ranked 101 pounder for the Pioneers and competed in the first OHSWCA girls state championship, where the program finished as state runner-ups. Coach Carroll is employed with Mazda, and hopes to continue in that field or in air traffic control. In her free time, she enjoys working on cars and hanging out.
