Rising Sophomores (C/O 2028)

Paityn High
Paityn was the 100 lb starter as a freshman and qualified for the district tournament with several big wins. She won ten matches and earned her first varsity letter. Paityn joined the Trailblazer girls team as an 8th grader and was champion at the Freddie Classic and 2nd at Delaware Dempsey. Her older sister Natalee is a senior on the Pioneer girls team and her younger sister Chloe wrestles for the Orange Spark youth girls. Her mom, Gennifer High, helps coach Spark.

Molly Murray
Molly was the 110 lb starter as a freshman at Olentangy Berlin. She won ten matches and earned her first varsity letter as a 9th grader. Molly was a member of the Trailblazer girls team in 7th grade and competed for the Berlin/Shanahan team as an 8th grader. Molly also plays field hockey and lacrosse.

Sarah Amonette
Sarah was a state alternate at 115 lbs and finished 30-12 with 20 pins. She was 7th at the Pioneer Classic and 3rd at Northwest's Fear the Spear. In the post-season, Sarah was 3rd at sectionals and 5th at districts. In middle school, she ​competed for the Trailblazers in 7th grade and at Berlin MS as an 8th grader. Her off-season work has been consistent. In addition, she finished 5th in OHWAY state and 2nd in Ohio's U14 freestyle state tournament.

Wren Monroe
Wren competed at a freshman at 125 lbs and won 5 matches in her debut. She joined the Orange Trailblazers as an 8th grader and it was the perfect transition from her taekwondo background. In her martial art, she is a second degree black belt and assistant instructor. Wren has excellent balance and strength, and has a great future. She also plays alto sax for the Marching Pioneers.

Izzie McDermott
Big jumps over the last three years for Izzie, as she won 10 matches between varsity and JV schedule. She went from 2 wins in 7th grade to 19-13 as an 8th grader. She stays busy in the off-season with camps, tournaments and club workouts. Izzie also rides horses in her free time.

Deviney McMillen
Deviney won 18 matches and earned her first varsity letter for the Pioneers, winning the Marysville JV event and wrestled in multiple varsity tournaments. She competed as a member of Olentangy Fire in 6th grade and as a member of Trailblazers her 7th/8th grade years. She was 17-14 in 7th and jumped to 26-8 as an 8th grader. Dev was runner-up in OAC in 2022, then made the blood round in 7th and 8th grade two OAC middle school events. She is also in the band, and plays soccer and lacrosse.

Vivian Li
Vivian won seven matches and earned her first varsity letter as a freshman. She placed in two JV events at 170 lbs and is known for her work in the weight room, as well as practice training rate. Vivian elevated her training this past spring and looks forward to a good sophomore season for the Pioneers!

Mubi Kapasi
Mubi competed in ten matches as a freshman wrestler, improving tremendously as the season progressed. She returns next winter for Orange.

Madi Ford
Madi won 19 matches as a freshman 235 lber, racking up 14 pins in the process. She had several wins over state qualifiers, and looks to step into the shoes left by state placer Jenny Huarcha-Arellanos. Madi placed in the varsity Pioneer Classic and competed at a high level all season. She enters her 4th year of wrestling, starting in 7th grade for the Trailblazer girls team. In 7th grade, she won 9 matches, but as an 8th grader, jumped to a 23-9 record. As an 8th grader, she was champion at Jags Classic, 2nd at Watkins Memorial, 2nd at the Freddie Classic and 2nd at Delaware Dempsey.
